Pioneer in Building ICT for Villagers 

The Tele Center Movement that immensely exposed Bangladesh with ICT in the last decade had started with Grameen Communications’ Village Computer & Internet Program (VCIP). Indeed, it had been a prototype model that was rapidly replicated throughout Bangladesh paving ways for employments for millions of people in various technology based businesses and jobs. In fact, the revolution that computer and internet technology has brought in the lives of people of Bangladesh was pioneered by this project.  

Support to the MFIs

The need for an integrated software for Micro Finance Institutions was felt since the inception of Grameen Bank. After several years of extensive research & analysis of all the activities of MFIs, GC has developed an integrated software for MFIs called gBanker which is being used by 135 renowned national & international MFIs. 

Research on ICT

In order to produce and promote ICT for the unreached, GC conducts researches to develop models of Social Information Infrastructure (SII) in the fields of agriculture, education, health, information and mobility.
